Materials + Innovation + Product & System Design

“Cook your own biodegradable clothes.”

An online platform dedicated to the research of biodegradable materials and their application into modular, DIY systems with daily, affordable materials, mainly through cooking.

In collaboration with Alejandra Díaz Zulueta & Myriam Barba

Materials Research

Throughout the entire design process we researched on and experimented with materials that shared the following 3 common traits: those of being biodegradable , accessible to anybody in terms of production (DIY), and suitable for modular interlocking.

Modular Interlocking System

We incorporated the idea of modularity into the garment creation so that users could produce these in their own households, create as many single units as they wished, and in turn create any garment they wanted.

Our Website -DIY-

On our website, you’ll find a wide catalogue of bioplastic-recipes and garments. Through a step-by-step guide, you’ll be able to combine different materials and techniques to create your very own, personal combination - in your own kitchen.
